Keeping the Community Book Exchange tidy

Hopefully you are enjoying the Community Book Exchange and have had a chance to try it out. Maybe you’ve discovered a new author or found a book to interest your children or grandchildren.

We’re lucky to have volunteers looking after the book exchange to help ensure it is kept tidy. However we do have a couple of requests of all users.

First, it is a BOOK exchange and therefore please don’t leave other items. There are a number of charity shops in Andover that would be delighted to receive good quality toys or bric a brac so please take it there and don’t leave it in the bus shelter.

Secondly, while the book cases hold many books, there is a finite capacity. So if it’s full please don’t leave books on the benches or the ground. Either take your books home for another day or, better still, exchange them for books on the shelves.

If you can keep these two simple ideas in mind, the book exchange will continue to function well and the lives of our volunteers will be a little bit easier.
